Cupping

Cupping is a traditional therapy used to treat musculoskeletal conditions, scar tissue and respiratory problems, such as asthma. Cupping is performed by creating a vacuum with a glass or silicon cup and either left in place for a period of time or used to massage an area by sliding over the skin where oil has been applied. One or more cups may be used in a treatment.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine are formulated by the practitioner to meet a patient’s specific needs. As a patient heals during a course of treatment, the herbal formula will be adjusted to reflect the changing needs of the patient’s condition.

Acute and emergency conditions resolve quite quickly with herbs, whereas chronic conditions may take several months to resolve.

Tui Na

Tui Na is an ancient style of Chinese medical massage, which translates as ‘pushing and pulling’ and predates both acupuncture and cupping. It is used to treat musculoskeletal conditions, internal disorders and emotional health, and is commonly performed on fully clothed patients.

Tui Na is sometimes prescribed as a stand-alone treatment for digestive disorders, anxiety and emotional or mental conditions.
